The Juneteenth Parade is a vibrant procession through South Madison celebrating Black freedom, music, culture, and community!

Every year, thousands line Park Street to watch and join the Juneteenth Parade as it moves through the heart of South Madison.

Floats, marching groups, dance teams, and community organizations come together in a powerful display of pride and resilience.

The Route

The parade starts at the Labor Temple, travels down Park Street and ends at Penn Park, where the Juneteenth Celebration continues with live entertainment, food, speakers, and family activities.

Parade Day Timeline

Staging Beings - 10:00am​

Parade Kicks Off - 11:00am

​

Celebration at Penn Park Begins - 12:00pm

How do I take part in the parade?

We welcome community groups, businesses, organizations, schools, and individuals to join the parade!

 

There are many ways to participate! You can build a float, send a marching group, bring a dance team or drumline, walk with your organization, or support through a monetary contribution.

Parking

Street parking is available in the surrounding area, but expect road closures along Park Street during the parade. We encourage attendees to arrive early or consider transit and rideshare options.
